Gold Rush
This was the scene in front of the Baskin Robbins stand at Tesco the other day.
It’s the usual end of the month rush for Baskin Robbins ice cream when they offer a discount. With that long queue, you’d expect there to be gold or at least a really huge price cut.
Personally, I’m not really that big a fan of ice cream because they always make me thirsty.
Still, it’s nice to know that in spite of the recession, they are making some simple pleasures of life affordable. Even if it is just once a month.

U call this line long???? This is PEANUTS ler…..I usually have to take a number and wait my turn to PAY for my quart.
And for a 31% discount, any BR lover (like yours truly) wouldn’t mind lining up for a fix.

Well, considering that this is but a humble little stall where business is absolutely dead during the other days of the week, this is a long queue. On normal days, the staff can be seen swatting flies or dozing off behind the counter.
