Let’s Make Them Muscles!
The gym rearranged its schedule of classes months ago and I haven’t had the chance to join a Body Pump class since.
So since Froggy bailed on me to go watch our band tonight, I decided to take this opportunity to build some muscle. Muscles are important to burn more calories and increase our metabolism.
Of course, after such a long hiatus, I know I should just take it easy and start off light. But did I listen to the voice of reason? No, I maintained the weight I was lifting before I stopped going to the classes.
Needless to say that it was not easy. After the second track my legs were trembling. By the time we got to triceps, my arms too were shaking.
End of the class during the cool down, as I was lying down on the floor, I wondered why I was feeling such a strong vibration. Then I realized that the floor wasn’t vibrating, it was my entire body that was trembling so hard, it felt like vibrations from the floor.
I’m gonna ache so bad tomorrow, that’s for sure. But if Monday’s BMI scan shows an increase in muscle mass, it’s worth it.
