Dual Identities

Spontaneity is the spice of life.  That’s what I always believe.  I’m not a stickler for planning everything down to the last detail, unlike a certain close friend who insists on discussing everything.

Girl, you know I love you dearly, but really, this need for extensive discussion and following through with plans can be very tiresome, you know :p

I remember a time when we were going to watch a certain DVD but changed our minds at the last minute to watch another movie while you were not around.  You didn’t even realize it was a different movie until near the end of it and we couldn’t understand your confusion was because we were not watching the first movie as discussed :D

Of course, people who have worked with me will never see this different side of me.  I’m a meticulous perfectionist in the office with a serious case of OCD.

Outside the office, I’m a pig!

So which one is the real me?  I admit, I do exaggerate a little in the office.  It makes life easier for me.  But you know, one can only keep that up for just so long.  Outside the office, I need a break.

I need to let the spontaneous soul inside me to be free to do things at the spur of the moment, to just let things play themselves out instead of planning for every contingency.

A guy once told me why he likes spontaneity.  It’s about "getting there", not "reaching".  Keep an open mind and you will enjoy the journey more.

Dude, I like your philosophy :D  Gimme five!

OK, we can hi-five each other the next time we meet up, huh?  BTW it has been a long time since I’ve seen this dude.  He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.  Gone fishing somewhere exotic, perhaps ;)
